On 29 October 2018, the band announced full title of the upcoming seventh album as The Singularity (Phase II Xenotaph).

However, currently there has been no release of Phase II. After charting all over the world with Scar Symmetry and shortly before leaving the band, vocalist Christian Älvestam and Miseration/Essence of Sorrow’s Jani Stefanovic return with a new solution, Solution. In February 2017, via their Facebook page, Scar Symmetry announced that album will be released in 2017.
